Chingola Tutors' Training Course
Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church - Outreach - Blogs - TEEZing Out The Roots
Last week the training team began its busy 2016 schedule of Tutors’ Training and African Indigenous Christian Counselling courses. We journeyed just up the road from Kitwe for a Tutors’ Training course at St. Mark’s UCZ congregation in Chingola. We had 21 students from around the consistory, including an inmate and officer from the nearby prison. What a wonderful group this was! From heated discussions around ecumenism to a raucous role play of group personalities to delicious shared meals, we grew together, enjoyed each other, and learned a lot. The body of Christ is functioning a bit more healthily with these new tutors. We look forward to the possibility of a graduation ceremony sometime in the near future.
We are fervently praying that more women will be joining us for future trainings. Please reach out to women in your congregations to join us when we come to town near you.
We head to Mufulira next week for another Tutors’ Training course. Do keep us in your prayers.
